When did you qualify?
Kaveena qualified as a solicitor in 2018. Prior to becoming a solicitor, Kaveena was a Chartered Legal Executive since 2013.
What is your specialist area of law? What types of cases do you deal with?
Commercial and residential matters including:
- Freehold disposals and acquisitions
- Leasehold disposals and acquisitions
- Licences and Tenancies at Will
- Drafting and advising on Deed of Easements and Wayleave agreements
- Regeneration and redevelopment work
- Advising and serving statutory notices, including hostile notices under s.25 LTA 1954
- Advising on Assets of Community Value including provision of client training
- Working collaboratively with officers of the partner councils and providing strategic legal advice, whilst ensuring adherence to statutory powers and limitations
Share a couple of professional triumphs/achievements. Have you had any cases reported locally/nationally? Won any awards for your legal work?
- Kaveena has advised on various areas of land earmarked for redevelopment – carrying out numerous title checks, acquiring land and regularising rights of way and the release of rights
- Kaveena has dealt with commercial leases to many well-known high street names. In recent times Kaveena has successfully negotiated and concluded a lease of a Golf Club which involved a number of ancillary agreements to regularise various title issues surrounding the site
- Kaveena has successfully managed and mentored a number of trainee lawyers and paralegals within the property team
