When did you qualify?

Cheryl qualified as a solicitor in 2003.

What is your specialist area of law? What types of cases do you deal with?

• Planning and local government, having come from a private practice background
• Procedural and substantive matters in respect of all applications under the Town and Country Planning Act, development and neighbourhood plans and the community infrastructure levy
• Cases can range from enforcement notices and matters arising at planning committee, to appeals and local plan and charging schedule examinations

• Particular matters that Cheryl has been involved in include aspects in respect of the adoption of a joint core strategy and local level development plans with a challenge to one of them being successfully defended and cases in respect of oversupply in relation to 5-year supply calculations
