When did you qualify?

Jeremy qualified as a solicitor in 1988.

What is your specialist area of law? What types of cases do you deal with?

  • Advice to officers and planning committees on policy development control and enforcement matters
  • Draft and prepare documents and agreements, undertake advocacy on behalf of One Legal’s partner councils at appeals, hearings and inquiries
  • Advice to officers and elected members of the partner councils on constitutional matters and issues relating to probity and conflicts of interest

  • Jeremy has been involved in several cases which have had national implications. A recent one for Tewkesbury Borough Council has been seen as leading to amendments to the government’s National Planning Policy Framework
  • A recent local success has also been for Tewkesbury Borough Council. Jeremy assisted the council in having an appeal against the refusal of planning permission in the village of Twyning for a housing development dismissed.  If the appeal had been allowed a much-loved local area of woodland would have been lost.  The case attracted significant local interest
  • Non-executive director and chair of WHA Healthcare Limited. WHA is a not-for-profit medical expenses insurance provider
